One of the biggest talking points from the 2026 Rich List is Sir David Beckham becoming Britain’s first billionaire sportsman. His combined wealth with Victoria Beckham is now estimated at around £1.18 billion thanks to business deals, fashion, endorsements, and the rapid growth of Inter Miami.

The latest list also highlights how quickly AI-related fortunes are rising in the UK. Several younger tech founders appeared in the under-40 rankings after major investment booms in artificial intelligence startups and software companies. Fintech billionaire Nik Storonsky, linked to Revolut, was reportedly one of the biggest financial gainers of the year.

Some fortunes have fallen sharply, too.

Not everybody on the Rich List gained money this year. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir James Dyson were both reported among some of the bigger fallers compared with previous years as wider business and market pressures affected valuations. The Rich List also highlighted concerns about wealthy individuals leaving the UK following tax changes and non-dom reforms.
