New Christmas Coca-Cola Flavour Lands in the UK After US Launch

It isn’t even Halloween yet, but Coca-Cola has already started getting into the Christmas spirit. The drinks brand has confirmed that a limited-edition festive flavour, first sold in America last year, is now arriving in the UK. Holiday Creamy Vanilla goes on sale nationwide from today, and judging by the early reaction online, plenty of fizzy drink fans have been waiting for this one.

Say helo to Holiday Creamy Vanilla. The new drink blends the classic cola taste most of us know with a soft, creamy vanilla flavour. Coca-Cola describes it as a smooth twist on the original recipe rather than a complete reinvention, so it should still feel familiar from the first sip. The idea is to give people something a little more indulgent to enjoy through the colder months, when sweeter treats tend to be on everyone’s shopping list anyway.

Because it’s a seasonal release, it won’t be sticking around forever. Limited-edition products like this usually vanish from shelves once the festive period is over, so anyone curious will want to pick up a bottle sooner rather than later. That short window is part of the appeal, since it makes the drink feel like a treat you can only have at one point in the year.

Coca-Cola Holiday Creamy Vanilla is a festive favourite from across the Atlantic.

Shoppers in the US got the first taste of this flavour back in November 2025. At the time, it was the first new Christmas drink the brand had launched in five years, which gave it plenty of attention over there. British fans have been watching from afar ever since, and some even tracked it down while travelling.

Bringing it to the UK makes sense after the buzz it created in America. Brands often test seasonal items in one country before deciding whether they’ll work elsewhere, and the positive feedback clearly helped it make the jump. Now it’s our turn to find out whether all the excitement was deserved.

There are two versions to pick from.

The drink comes in two options: Coca-Cola Original and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. That means people who usually stick to the full-sugar can and those who prefer to cut back can both join in. It’s a sensible move, as lots of households have a mix of drinkers who lean one way or the other.

Both varieties are rolling out across the country from September 30, so you shouldn’t have to hunt too hard to spot them. Big supermarkets and convenience shops are the likeliest places to find stock first. If your local store hasn’t got any on the shelf yet, it could just be a case of waiting a few days for deliveries to catch up.

A fresh look is on offer for the cans and bottles.

Coca-Cola hasn’t stopped at the recipe because the packaging has been given a seasonal makeover too. Each can and bottle features soft vanilla shades along with a little soft serve ice cream swirl, which hints at the creamy taste inside. It’s a gentle change from the usual bold red, and it should make the drink easy to pick out in a busy aisle.

Special designs like this have become a big part of how brands mark the festive season. They help a product stand out, and plenty of people enjoy grabbing something that looks a bit different for a party or a family gathering. Some fans even like to keep a limited-edition can as a small souvenir once it’s empty.

Coca-Cola has said it has always had a close connection with Christmas, and it wanted to give fans something new to look forward to this year. The company believes more people are keen to try unusual flavours during the holidays, and it thinks this drink fits that mood nicely. Its hope is that the vanilla version gives people a reason to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment for themselves during a hectic time of year.

It’s easy to see why the brand is leaning into the season. Its long-running Christmas adverts are a big part of the build-up to December for many families, so a festive flavour ties in neatly with that. Getting it out in early autumn also gives shoppers plenty of time to try it before the rush of parties and present buying begins.

Early fans are already excited.

Photos of the new drink have been doing the rounds on social media ahead of the launch, and the response has been mostly upbeat. Lots of people have said they’re keen to try it as soon as possible, while others are already planning to buy several bottles at once. That sort of reaction is exactly what a brand wants to see before a seasonal release.

Some of the most enthusiastic comments have come from people who drank it on holiday in America last year. A few said they loved it and couldn’t wait to have it again, and one person described it as tasting more like cream soda than a typical vanilla cola. That comparison might help anyone unsure about what to expect before they buy.

Not everyone is convinced, though. As with any new launch, the reaction hasn’t been entirely positive. A handful of people said they’d much rather Coca-Cola had brought back an earlier cinnamon flavour instead. Others feel the older vanilla version already does the job, so they don’t see much need for a festive spin on it.

One commenter pointed out that vanilla and cola isn’t exactly a brand-new pairing, which is a fair point. The creamier recipe does set it apart a little, though, and taste is always down to personal preference. The only way to know for sure which camp you fall into is to give it a go yourself.

More seasonal treats are hitting the shops from popular brands.

Coca-Cola isn’t the only brand getting ready for Christmas early. Sainsbury’s has announced a mince pie advent calendar for anyone who fancies something other than chocolate behind each door. M&S has also revived a retro biscuit selection first sold in the 1950s, updated with some of its most popular biscuits today.

Walkers is launching a new premium crisp range too, with flavours including Black Truffle, Sea Salt & Olive Oil, and Somerset Mature Cheddar & Onion. If you’re planning festive snacks for guests, it might be a good idea to try a few of these new items early and see which ones your family likes best. Since Holiday Creamy Vanilla is only around for a short time, picking up a bottle during your next shop is the easiest way to decide whether it deserves a spot on the Christmas table.
