As the evenings get darker and colder, there’s nothing quite like a warm pudding to enjoy on the sofa. M&S has launched six new single-serve hot desserts, designed to be ready in moments with no preparation needed. The range includes gooey cookie dough pots, fruity crumbles and classic sponge puddings. Here’s what’s in the new line-up and how much each one costs.
The double chocolate cookie dough pot is a real star.
The star of the range is the Double Chocolate Cookie Dough pot, which costs £3. Simply pop it in the microwave for 45 seconds, and it turns into a warm, soft cookie dough. It’s packed with chocolate chips and pockets of hot chocolate sauce. It’s a quick treat for anyone who loves a gooey chocolate cookie. Serve it with a drizzle of cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent dessert. It’s ideal for a film night or a cosy evening in.

There’s a fruity cookie dough option too.
For something a little lighter, there’s also a raspberry and white chocolate cookie dough pot. It has the same soft, squidgy texture as the chocolate version. A tangy raspberry compote adds a fresh, fruity contrast to the sweet white chocolate. It’s a good choice for anyone who prefers fruit desserts or finds rich chocolate too heavy. Like the chocolate pot, it’s made to be warmed up quickly in the microwave. That makes it an easy treat after a long day.
Crumbles with a clever twist are also on the menu.
The two new crumbles each cost £2.50 and come with a handy design feature. The crunchy topping comes in its own separate section of the pot. That means you heat the fruit and custard first, then sprinkle the topping on afterwards so it stays crisp. There are two flavours to choose from: Bramley apple with Madagascan vanilla custard and Summer berries with Madagascan vanilla custard.
Both crumbles are finished with an all-butter oat crumble. Keeping it separate stops it going soft and soggy when the pudding is heated. Many people find that soggy topping is the biggest problem with ready-made crumbles. The result should be a crisp, crunchy top over warm fruit and creamy custard. It’s a simple way to enjoy a classic British pudding in just a few minutes. At £2.50, it’s a fairly affordable treat too.

Two traditional sponge puddings aren’t to be missed.
Fans of old-fashioned sponge puddings have two new options. The first is a Banana, Caramel and Pecan Pudding, topped with caramel sauce and crunchy pecan nuts. The second is a Chocolate, Orange and Hazelnut Pudding, made with real orange pieces, chocolate sauce and a nutty finish. They’re a bit like a mug cake, but without any mixing or measuring. Both contain nuts, so they’re not suitable for anyone with a nut allergy. Always check the packaging for full allergy information.
Tips for heating your pudding
Always follow the heating instructions on the pack, as microwave strengths can vary. Make sure the pudding is piping hot all the way through before eating. Leave it to stand for a minute or so afterwards, as fillings and sauces can get very hot.
Take care when removing the pot from the microwave, as it may be hot to touch. Stir crumble fillings before adding the topping so the heat spreads evenly. Then grab a spoon, settle down and enjoy a warm treat on a chilly evening.
