McDonald’s Launches First-Ever Crocs Happy Meal In The UK

McDonald’s has just refreshed its Happy Meal lineup in the UK, swapping out the World Cup Squishmallows for something completely different. The fast food chain has launched its first-ever Crocs collaboration in the UK and Ireland, and fans are already going wild over it.

What’s actually inside the Crocs Happy Meal box?

Before getting too excited, you need to know what’s on offer here. You won’t find an actual pair of shoes tucked inside the iconic red box, and there isn’t even a charm to decorate your own Crocs with. Instead, each Happy Meal comes with one of 12 pre-selected Crocs mini character clip keyrings, which is where the real appeal lies for collectors.

A nice touch is that each tiny keyring arrives packaged inside its own miniature shoebox, adding a bit of extra charm to the whole collectible experience.

What else comes with the meal?

For children who aren’t especially keen on the keyrings, there’s an alternative option too. A book can be requested instead of the toy, with this month’s choice being Rob Biddulph’s Gigantic.

The promotion extends beyond the toys as well, with Happy Meal activity packs and sheets also available in restaurants throughout the campaign. There’s also an interactive game called “Style your Crocs” available online at happymeal.com for anyone wanting to extend the fun beyond the restaurant itself.

How to get a Happy Meal for less

Standard Happy Meals start from £4.39, though prices can vary slightly between individual restaurants. Children can choose from a Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Mayo Chicken, McFish, or Chicken McNuggets, each served alongside a fruit or vegetable bag and a small cold drink.

For anyone using the McDonald’s app, there’s a considerably cheaper option available throughout August, with Happy Meals priced at just £2.99 through the app specifically. This discounted offer excludes McDelivery orders and is limited to one redemption per customer per day, though up to four Happy Meals can be included within that single redemption.

How fans have reacted to the collaboration

Reaction on social media has been enthusiastic, with plenty of Crocs fans describing the collaboration as their idea of heaven. Several people said they could barely believe the promotion was real, with many expressing excitement about getting their hands on the full keyring collection.

Some fans have already committed to visiting regularly in an effort to collect all 12 designs, with a few even joking they’d be back every single day until the set was complete.

Not everyone’s completely satisfied, though.

Despite the positive reaction overall, a few fans did raise some gentle criticism. Several people pointed out that every keyring in the collection is designed for the right foot only, meaning nobody can actually put together a matching pair even if they collect multiples.

Others questioned why the promotion didn’t include actual miniature shoes or shoe charms instead, arguing these would have felt more practical and closer to real Crocs merchandise than a keyring collection alone.

How long the promotion will run

The Crocs Happy Meal has been available at McDonald’s restaurants across the UK since August 4th, though it’s only running for a limited time while stocks last. Anyone hoping to complete the full set of 12 keyrings will likely want to start collecting sooner rather than later, given how quickly limited-run promotions like this tend to sell through.
