If You Do These 15 Things, You’re An Exceptionally Good Person

Unless you’re some sort of psycho, chances are, you want to be seen as a good person.

That doesn’t mean you have to set out to save the world or act like a hero every day — it just means you should put your best foot forward and try to treat everyone you meet with kindness, respect, and consideration. If you do that and the following things, you’re a great person, no doubt about it.

1. You tune in and listen when people are talking.

I’m not just talking about nodding along while waiting for your turn to talk. You actually hear what people are saying, their worries, their joys, their dreams. You make eye contact, you ask questions, you’re present in the moment. That makes people feel valued and heard, which is a pretty big deal.

Whether it’s carrying a heavy bag for a stranger, helping a friend move house, or just lending a listening ear, you’re always ready to lend a hand. You don’t make excuses or wait to be asked; you genuinely want to make things a bit easier for those around you.

There’s no trace of jealousy in your heart, honestly. When your friends, family, or even acquaintances achieve something great, you’re genuinely thrilled for them. You cheer them on, offer your support, and make them feel like their wins are worth celebrating.

4. You apologise when you’re wrong, and you genuinely mean it.

Nobody’s perfect, and you’re not afraid to admit when you’ve messed up. You own your mistakes, offer a genuine apology, and try to make amends. It shows humility and a willingness to take responsibility for your actions.
